Kyris joined the Marine Genomics Lab in Fall of 2023 after completing a summer internship with the Coastal Fisheries division of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. She is currently interning with Michaela Labare working on spotted seatrout population genetics.

Currently she is pursuing a BS at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi in biology with an emphasis in Marine Biology. After graduation Kyris would like to continue working in coastal fisheries, with hopes of working for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
